Sunday, May 20, 2012 - Blackwater Trading Post - IN THE RAIN!!

It was foggy at Pungo Ferry Road where we had intened to launchs, so we launched instead from Blackwater Trading Post on Blackwater Road.  And yes, it was raining.  And yes, it rained the whole time.  :)  But we had fun.

We encountered an Osprey nest on a pole and several ominous big black birds hanging out an a dead tree.

Exactly 4.0 miles on the GPS.

beachcombing is an attitude, an expressive metaphor for reality, an attraction and adventure, that ranges from the eager inquisitiveness of youth to the more philosophical approach that comes from gaining and spending, and being spent, by the fortunes of life, like the flotsam and jetsam along the shore.
