Harbour Nights

Bermuda Summer Street Festival

Since we were in Bermuda on a Wednesday, we were able to enjoy Harbour Nights which is a summer street festival held every Wednesday night from May to September, from 7 pm to 10 pm.

Taking over the City of Hamilton’s famous Front Street, the event transforms the busy roadway into a vibrant, pedestrian-only block party filled with live music, artisan vendors, family-friendly entertainment, and island cuisine.

Admission is free, with food, drinks, and crafts available for purchase. The festival includes iconic performances of Bermuda’s celebrated Gombey dance troupes. In dazzling regalia, they fill the streets with energetic dances to the beat of drums and whistles — a fusion of African, Bermudian, Native American, and West Indian traditions.

beachcombing is an attitude, an expressive metaphor for reality, an attraction and adventure, that ranges from the eager inquisitiveness of youth to the more philosophical approach that comes from gaining and spending, and being spent, by the fortunes of life, like the flotsam and jetsam along the shore.
